Structurally upgrading SWE 331

This more than 20 years old Norlin Mk III has been upgraded bit by bit.

SWE 331 was built in 1994/95 on the original male mould for the Norlin Mk III design. Built in epoxysandwich and vacuumbagged an with resonable structure she has withstood the wear and tear of many years of racing.

Having monitored the effects of the structural improvements made the last couple of years the owner felt it was time for an upgrade. From the beginning a chainplate/partial bulkhead connecting the shrouds and mast step was built.

This was now rebuilt to become a bulkhead interlocking the shape at the mastposition. The trim bench was incorporated and extended aft to minimize twist. As usual it´s always a compromize as you have to have room for the driver. The bench would so an even better job had it been streched further aft.
